Here are the remains of a second-century (Gallo-Roman) necropolis,
where dozens of stone cylinders with lids - most of them now removed to the museum at Limoges -
sunk into the ground, contained miniature cooking-utensils, eye make-up applicators and small blue glass vases
accompanied by the calcified and ground-up bones of the ?women whose special cemetery it might have been.
