Menhir de Mourrens
dit La Carrerrasse

If this curious and attractive little roadside menhir (1.2 metres high) is not in more or less its original state,
it was very likely phallic,
with its top subsequently sawn off, and a bassin or
bullaun carved into the top of the remainder.

On the other hand, it it more likely that the bassin might indeed been an original, and more deep and subtle element of phallicity.
A crude cross carved into its E side is probably not much more than 100 years old.

Mourrens also has a charming Romanesque church.
